Clara's Big Move!

This morning when I got to the Intensive Care Nursery (ICN), I learned that Clara had been moved to a new space.  We are now in area 9.  A good sign that we are making progress.  Her weight is continuing to go up.  She was just 10 grams off her birth weight.  She is doing so well. She also is getting enough fluids through breast milk, that she no longer needs an IV and that will be coming out tomorrow morning.

I have now mastered diapering a preemie.  She is so small still that we have to roll the preemie diapers so they fit right.  We have also stated adding a supplement to my breast milk to make it fattier to help her continue to gain weight.  Clara was very alert this afternoon and we had some good conversations.  I have been telling her all about the family and extended family and friends who are excited to meet her!
